Diversity & Inclusion

our culture

Our people are our most valuable asset.

Our vision is for our people to work on projects that offer career opportunity and longevity. We strive to provide work that is rewarding and inspiring for our people, where knowledge is shared as we build the projects that improve our lives and those of future generations.

We place strong emphasis on building a group of people that share the values of trust, simplicity, teamwork and pioneering spirit with our clients and partners so we can all work together with the same purpose.

As we continue to grow in Australia, we are committed to supporting the local workforce, including indigenous communities, by promoting long-term employment. We also offer relevant training and education for the enhancement of trade skills and career advancement opportunities in all our project locations.

We want everyone at Bouygues Construction Australia to feel included and that they belong, no matter what their background or identity may be. We drive inclusion, diversity and equality into the ways we work every day.

women in construction

We believe that gender diversity contributes to the performance of our company.

We are putting in place specific measures to attract, keep and promote female talent including:

• Contributing to increasing the number of women in the construction industry
• Supporting the professional advancement of women at Bouygues Construction
• Making the Group more attractive and efficient by improving the gender mix of its teams

Our Active Women in Mentoring six-month program is designed to support the individual personal development goals of a select group of female mentors and mentees.

Run by a board consisting of seventeen women from all Bouygues Construction entities who represent a variety of professions, Welink promotes female professional development and fosters the next generation of women in construction.

We are proud to be a corporate member of the National Association of Women in Construction.

NAWIC is led by a team of passionate employees and volunteers who all strive to help champion and empower women in the construction and related industries to reach their full potential.

For Bouygues Construction Australia, fostering a strong female workforce is business critical.

Greater diversity makes our workplaces stronger – and a greater representation of women in construction benefits our industry as a whole.

Our goal is to create a working environment that enables women to achieve their full potential and foster long lasting careers. We want to lead by example and actively encourage women into decision-making roles to inspire whole-of-industry policy and cultural change.

It is time to switch from advocacy to action and make these changes to our industry tangible and achievable so we are not still agitating for change in years to come.”.
